THE PROBLEM

A toxic, unsustainable paradigm

Agriculture is the world’s oldest, largest and most essential industry. But, since the 1960s, industrialized food production has become the world’s worst emitter of greenhouse gasses and the world’s largest source of ammonia (via the formation of PM2.5) air pollution.

Today, agrochemical farming is the world’s worst contaminator of air, soil, water and food.

Pesticide-laden, low-nutrient food destroying consumer health. In just one example, the carcinogen glyphosate (a.k.a. RoundUp) is found in everything from beer to breakfast cereals to mother’s milk.

The way we farm needs to change: Chemically contaminated farmland destroys the health of our soil while agricultural off-gassing and runoff poisons our air and our water.
